summer learning journey:hauora 1.

If I could choose anyone to win the Nobel prize, I would give it to Kathleen Hall.
she was a nurse who helped china when Japan was at war with them.
and she helped China soldiers who were injured.

  1. Ciao Liam,

My name is Gargee and I am a student commenter for the Summer Learning Journey. I hope you're having a great new year! :)

Thank you for posting yet another activity! Your choice of person is amazing! I like how you explained clearly what she's done to deserve a nobel prize. I quite think she deserves one too. What nobel prize do you think she should receive? There are 6 different categories: Chemistry, Physics, Peace, Literature, Medicine and Economics, which one do you think Kathleen deserves? What makes her stand out from other nurses at war? I'd love to find out more information about her! I think war is just unnecessary and for Kathleen to be able to help injured soldiers just proves to show what amazing people are in the world.

I personally would choose Mahatma Gandhi or Muhammad Ali, and both should get peace. Mahatma Gandhi was actually nominated 5 times to get a nobel prize, but never ended up getting one. He sacrificed so much for the independence of India against Britian, including starving himself and going to jail. Muhammad Ali was a professional boxer, considered one of the greatest of all time. He gave up his role just to not participate in the Vietnam war. He also fought alongside other people to get equality and civil rights. Have you ever heard of these people? Don't you think they deserve one too?

Great post Liam! I hope you have a great new year, and keep on posting for the Summer Learning Journey, I'm looking forward to reading more of your activities.

    ~ Gargee :)
