Book review: Harry Potter and The Order the Phoenix.

Hi bloggers, today I am making a book review on the 5th book in the Harry potter series.

I will also be making one to the 6th and the 7th.

Hope you enjoy.

SPOILER ALERT

The Order of the Phoenix is a long big book with Politics, Death, Love and especially Mystery, its biggest problem is how long and in some parts a little boring.

Harry goes through lots of different tasks and is in danger almost 80% of the time in this book.

First he has Dementors, Creatures that literally suck your soul out your body who attack him and his cousin Dudley.

He is expelled from Hogwarts by the ministry because he used magic outside of school and Dumbledore (The Headmaster of the school) has to intervene to get him back into school.

And even when he gets back to school after summer holidays he is still not safe despite him being under the protection of the greatest wizard of all time.

Dumbledore is saying that Voldermort (A great and powerful dark wizard) has returned, but the ministry (The government of the wizarding world) says that he is a crazy liar and should not be trusted.

Dolores Umbridge is a ministry worker who was appointed to work at hogwarts to spy on Dumbledore for the ministry, because they think that Dumbledore is going to use his school to wage war on the ministry and take the job for Minister of magic.

8.5/10

Watch out for the other ones.

  2. Tino pai Liam. I really enjoyed your book review. I like how you broke the main events down into simple paragraphs without giving away the ending of the book. Do you prefer the books or the films? I wonder how you could encourage readers to come back to read your other reviews. Maybe you could set them a challenge or make them a quiz?

    1. Hi Phil, Thanks for commenting on my blog.
I prefer the 5th film over the 5th book.
I'll try to make my next one more interesting.
      blog ya later.

  3. Kia ora Liam. Great work reviewing the book. You have described what you like and don't like about it well and have given a good overview of events - without giving too much away. Phil has given you some great ideas to do that would support your next review. Although you say you enjoyed the 5th movie rather than the book - do you think it is best to read the book before the movie? (you know my feelings on this!)

  5. Hi Liam, I am reading Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix right now. Spoiler Alert the bit I am reading is when Dolores Umbridge is making harry get his hand pierced with the magical writing pen that makes the writing go on your hand. Maybe next time you could write down your favorite part. Ted
